futsal!!

time to update abit. last sat we had aon united day (family day), i participated in the futsal compt.since tt day was a charity event for the boys town, so we integrated with them (5boys+3aon staff in a team). i tink it was my 2nd time kicking soccer. hahahah!
our "coach" said i was aggressive, i nearly got a yellow card. =.= oh really? i tot i was juz hopping arnd, trying to be useful on the field. hahah.
we had buffet lunch, lucky draw (dint win.... sigh~). then some colleagues n i headed off to rider's cafe and we had some sandwiches n tea. my taitai lifestyle~

otto ristorante

today had my team dinner at OTTO (at the red dot). it was super gd. we had a glass of champagne/red wine and stilled water each. made a toast (another welcome to the team gers), den bread was served. a choice of 6 differnet types of bread? haha. at the speed the waiter pronounced their names, i have no idea wat they were except for the cranberry bread. so i took tt and another italian bread. a small slice of salmon with tomato pesto sauce was served. yumm...

appetizer: wagyu beef with mushroom salad! wooo! im glad i ordered tt, satisfied my hunger for beef (wagyu beef esp.) and they werent stingy bout it, super contented.
main: atlantic cod fish with... etc. GD! fresh and soft, no strong fishy smell.
dessert: almond and pine nut tart with pistachio ice cream. i like the ice cream! as for the tart it aint tt bad, mebbe im not really a fan of nuts. boss had cheese platter and all of us were game for blue cheese and some other exotic cheese.

bill was O.O, call me swaku... but i nvr had sucha ex dinner be4.. haha. $600+ for 4pax. this can only happen with team dinner/lunch. after tt, we headed down to marina bay sands. 2 went into the casino to try their luck, while me n my senior cabbed home. claim-able! haha =D


few more days till msia trip. hope everything goes smoothly.

work so far.

seriously speaking... it's like im doing self study (reading thru policies, or the companies infor, reading news), at times helping to do invoicing and using the system. im not complaining.. mebbe i'll be soon, coz exams next mth!!!

met up with underwriters from a insurer for brkfast. they treated us~ haha. i like the idea of having my schedule filled with appts with insurers or clients =x this coming mon, boss said we'll be going for the team dinner, it'll be at Otto Ristorante (italian). reviews seem to be gd! cant wait! then on thurs, it'll be half day coz we'll be celebrating Aon United Day!!!! YESH! in conjunction with the launch of Man Utd new jersey (Aon is sponsoring), we will make a new record of penalty kicks. hahaha! u might c me on tv! =D *i'll jump n wave* after tt, we'll be meeting up with another insurer for "drinks".
den following onto tt sat, i'll be Aon's family day. believe it or not... i've agree to participate in futsal compt.. LOL. i hope i dun fall, brk my leg/nose, or kick the air instead of ball. dun wanna xia suay infront of so many colleagues. haha.

first day of work

i got to the company super early. saw my perm(she made an effort to be on time)-sandrine, telling me my boss-mike said to meet at 830am to give me a warm welcome. in the end, boss was late. haha! went for a short orientation by the HR, total 8 new comers (including me) but all went to diff depts.

after orientation, had a mini trg with the other team-mate:gladys; at the cafe.. again. haha. this time i had hot choc! sipp~ gotta know more bout my job: broking (professional lines and D&Os).
we had a team lunch at table 66(as per recommendation by sandrine), courtesy of mike. hahaha!
the minute i went in, i saw bottles of FIJI water placed on the tables. we had a choice of sparkling or stilled water. i had mine stilled. choice of a variety of appetizers,mains and dessert. had salmon sashimi salad; seabass fillet and apple crepe with gelato. ending it off with a cup of 4got-the-name tea (they had a list of it). best lunch!

cant wait to attend the meetings with clients/insurers. we even have an after-work meeting coming soon. still.... it feels like im on a vacation job. haha.
tml's dress-down day! and since the building we're working at is having a firedrill exercise... mike decided to have a "brkfast meeting" at gloria jean's instead of reporting to the office. i guess time for trg lesson 2!

im gna decorate my desk with lotsa barang barangs. haha. im gna develop some photos and put dem into a nice frame! haha.

entering new phase of life soon..

as june closes its curtains, july waves hello to me.
starting work soon at AON, im praying hard that my working environment and dept will be nice. really hope i wun encounter any bad politics. hope the same for the gers too!
one thing im happy is tt laochen,xl n i will be working arnd the same area: tanjong pagar. haha. let's hunt for gd food; buy the famous muffins!; go for gd restaurant dinners arnd tt area. =] ber: u r most welcome to join us when u dun haf trg. hehe. we will meet up de!

as for the other side of my life, i do hope to say i c sunshine again. the rays are shooting out of the grey clouds.. i hope the sun comes out soon. im thankful for those who were there for me. your constant concerns and smses helped me brave through that storm. muackiestoyouall!

string of news

first off, i've received news from aon le, will be going down on fri. thou shan't greed...

secondly, my mummy kinda dyed my hair abit. she used the left-overs from her dye (liese) and spread it on my hair. dun waste dun waste. time to get more conditioners/serum.

thirdly, start date of my work will not clash with the msia trip. THANKEW! i can go in peace.

life so far..

took up kickboxing class with ching @ sembawang cc. quite fun, as the wk progresses the tempo increases. sumtimes hard to keep up.

will receive word from AOn by end wk whether the job is cfm. so fingers crossed. but gotta say, my interviews with the director/interviewer kinda weird weird de. really like chatting. for the 1st, he dun really look at me n tok. and the thing is tt he didnt asked me bout my previous job experiences, more of asking where my sec sch is and wat is MOE award. ermmm.. den for my 2nd interview/coffee chat, we had it at an australian cafe over a cup of tea! LOL! oh well. haha. shall see how it goes.
